VISION OF GRIEF
I had a vision
Deep awake in my grief.
It veneered
Like a glistening sun
Barging into a murky room
Owls maneuvering
In the daylight,
Confounded and lost, they die.
Sun cranes its light
And towers the algae-laden river
Thrusting beneath the creepers
It rills and ebbs
Swirls and tells.
Someone jets out of the sun
With a suspended halo
The river, suddenly contorts and bellows
I feel the water gnawing
As it disappears in shadows
I finally found a vent
An escape
Home.
The creature advances
And launches its bow
Arrow strikes through the clouds
And the rain wraps the river again.
Creature disappeared. Betrayed.
Sun demises and halo bursts
Rushing decreases and algae creeps back
Creepers and weed lunge into a panic attack
Oppression dictates again.
Finally the jungle is same.
Plagued
Bereft
Wandering
River to find a vent is still…... flowing.

ReplyDeleteIn my opinion Fading pictures, Creatures and Vision all of these echo a feeling of insecurity and a quest for something...
ReplyDeleteimages are varied... and powerful.
